My name is Ashleigh, and I am a mom of three, raising my crew with my husband, Brackett, in Durango, Colorado, where we live on six acres that accidentally became a Funny Farm. Three dogs, two cats, three chickens, and a steady rotation of wildlife that ignores property lines. Still missing the stuffed squirrel (if you know, you know).

 

Life at the Tucker-Mays-Diaz house involves juggling the boys’ travel hockey schedules, ski days at Chapman, and logging 100–150 river miles each summer, all while managing work, school, finding lost gear, and being bossed around by Charlotte as she sings Moana. Dinners are loud, opinions are strong, and silence usually means something’s gone very wrong.

 

My story, like most meaningful ones, includes love and loss, grief and healing, endings and new beginnings. Becoming a mother changed everything: it broke me open, rebuilt me, and taught me that the hardest things in life are often the most worthwhile.

 

I’m a co-owner of 4Corners Riversports, where I get to share my love for the river with my family, my community, and anyone brave enough to step into the current. The river has taught me patience, resilience, and how to keep moving forward, even when the water gets rough.

 

Raising kids is messy, exhausting, humbling, and incredibly meaningful. This space is where I share the real moments, the chaos, the beauty, the lessons learned along the way, all while raising wild-hearted kids in Colorado and trying to find balance in the middle of it all.
